Dedicated, Passionate and Experienced Educators

When you entrust the education and care of your child at Wonder Kids, you can be assured our dedicated team of Educators put the well-being, happiness, development and education of your child above all else. All Educators have current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates.

Our dedicated team of Educators understand how critical the first five years is to a child's development. At Wonder Kids we believe children develop best when their days are filled with play, learning and fun. The important thing is to achieve the right balance.

We understand a child's developmental growth - physically, socially and emotionally providing them with the ability to learn the types of knowledge, behaviour, thinking and communication skills they require for life.

As we recognise the importance of stimulating a child's brain in the early years is critical, we ensure the experiences of hearing, seeing, touching, smelling, tasting, exploring and questioning. This provides the foundation for learning and other lifelong skills shaping the adults they will become.

Our Team

Carissa

Hi, my name is Carissa and I am the Service Manager at Wonder Kids Early Learning Centre. I have been working with children and families in the Early Childhood sector since 2004 and became the new Service Manager in 2018.

Previously I worked at our sister service – Hot Tots Educational Centre since 2006 and held the role of Assistant Service Manager.

I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and have the joy and responsibility for the day to day running of Wonder Kids Early Learning Centre, in accordance with the National Regulations.

I am passionate about my career and treat each child with the utmost respect. I believe in catering for each individual child and believe that every child deserves the best start in life. I believe that an early childhood environment should reflect a home like environment which is warm and caring.

I have high expectations for the care and play environments that my children attend with the core focus being on relationships, safety, learning through play and the creation of stimulating and empowering spaces for children to play and grow.

I am here to support children, families and Educators in my position as Service Manager and will put in 100% effort to achieve this daily.

Katie

Hi, my name is Katie and I am the Assistant Service Manager and Educational Leader here at Wonder Kids. I have been part of the Wonder Kids team since March 2013 and have completed in this time a Certificate III in Children’s Services and Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have strong intentions to continue my study with a Bachelor of Education to further my career and knowledge.

As Educational Leader I support all other Educators with their understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place and the National Quality Standards so they can provide the best quality education and care for the children within the service.

Ellie

My name is Ellie and I have the pleasure of being the Kindergarten Teacher. I have been part of the Wonder Kids team since January 2015. I was brought up in Sarina and lived in New Zealand from 1990 to 2013.

My professional experience is wide and varied. I hold a New Zealand Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood and have the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority approved qualifications equivalent of an Early Childhood Teacher.

I look forward to helping every child with their transition into Prep. I am excited for the opportunity to be able to get to know every child and assist them when exploring ways to make connections with the world around them.

I recognise that the learning experience that your child receives here is only one part of the overall learning process.

I am looking forward to getting to know all the Kindergarten families so I can ensure that I am able to further understand each child and can tailor the learning program to maximise that they gain from this experience.

Nikole

My name is Nikole and I am the Before/After School & Vacation Care Educator. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and started the Before/After School program in 2018.

I absolutely love being part of the Wonder Kids team – forming and maintaining relationships with both Educators and children. I am excited to teach the school aged children and to incorporate fun, new and interesting programs each week based on their interests. I look forward to welcoming you all!

Amy-Jayne

Hi, my name is Amy-Jayne. I have been an Educator with the Wonder Kids family since 2013. I am currently studying my Diploma in Early Childhood Education at the Central Queensland University in Mackay and hold a Certificate III in Children's Services.

I enjoy caring for children of all ages and believe that all children's needs have to be met; to ensure they can reach their full potential.

Rochelle

Hi, my name is Rochelle but everyone calls me ‘Roche’. I am the Lead Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom and hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I joined the Wonder Kids team in 2009 and have enjoyed watching the children develop and their individual personalities emerge.

I believe in establishing and maintaining respectful, trusting relationships with all children and their families. I also recognise that each child is unique with different interests, backgrounds and developmental stages. Security and trust are very important components between Educator and Child.

Clare

Hi, my name is Clare and I am an Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom. I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services and have been part of the Wonderkids team since 2015.

I support the children to learn, grow and develop their skills and self-identity in a safe, exciting environment. I love working with children and watch them grow to their full potential. I look forward to welcoming you to Wonder Kids!

Courtney

My name is Courtney and I am a trainee here at Wonder Kids. I work alongside the Lead Educator and Educator in the Pre Kindy Classroom. I started working in the Childcare industry in 2017 and have enjoyed watching the children grow in knowledge and strength.

I am currently studying a Certificate III in Children’s Services and look forward to my future in Childcare.

Jeanette

Hi, my name is Jeanette, but you can call me “Net” just like the children do. I am the Lead Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I joined the Wonder Kids family in 2010 and hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services and am currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

I believe that each child has a right to feel that they are valued and have a sense of belonging within their environment. I have an absolute passion for working with young children and strive to plan and implement a program which is creative and involves learning through play.

Rika

Hi, my name is Rika and I am the Educator in the Junior Kindy Classroom. I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services and am currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

I believe in allowing the children to make their learning and play choices. Children at this stage are so innocent, independent and creative. I work alongside the Lead Educator to create a program each week which reflects upon and extends on each child’s current interests.

Alex

Hi, my name is Alex and I am the Lead Educator in the Toddler Classroom. I hold both Certificate III in Children’s Services and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have been part of the team at Wonder Kids since 2013 and have experience with all age groups within the service.

I strongly believe that by building a strong connection with each child, it allows them to feel confident within their learning environment, with their peers, Educators and importantly to be confident within themselves.

Alaina

Hi, my name is Alaina and I am the Educator in the Toddler Classroom. I am a passionate Educator and have more than 10 years experience in the childcare industry.

I love watching children grow and reach their milestones throughout their early years

Bec

HI, my name is Bec and I am the Lead Educator in the Nursery. I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services, as well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I am extremely passionate about childcare and have been part of the Wonder Kids team since 2015.

I am thoroughly enjoying being the Lead Educator in the Nursery and have created a special bond with each child.

Kara

Hi, my name is Kara and I am the Educator in the Nursery. I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services and I aim to provide an environment to encourage play-based learning as well as supporting the Lead Educator in the classroom with the planning and implementation of intentional teaching.

I enjoy watching the children develop new skills and look forward to welcoming you to Wonder Kids!

Beth

Hi, my name is Beth and I am the Program Cover Educator at Wonder Kids. I have been part of this great team since 2017 and I am passionate about creating and maintaining relationships with children, families and fellow Educators.

I am currently studying towards a Certificate III in Children’s Services and have been enjoying every moment here. I believe in a quality care setting and to help create a quality program by following the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.

Louella

Hi, my name is Louella and I am the Lunch Float Educator. I joined the Wonder Kids family in 2018 and have already developed new relationships with each child throughout the service and with other Educators.

I am extremely passionate about childcare hence the reason I obtained my Certificate III in Children’s Services when I was in school. I look forward to welcoming you to Wonder Kids!
